Bourgoin-Jallieu is a commune in the département of Isère and the Rhône-Alpes région of France. It lies 35 kilometers to the east-southeast of the city of Lyon. In the 1999 census, Bourgoin-Jallieu had a population of 22,947. Its inhabitants are called the Berjalliennes (feminine) and the Berjalliens (masculine).
