Brühl is a city in Germany, located 20 km south of Cologne, in the Rhein-Erft-Kreis. Currently counting 44,010 inhabitants, it is located at the edge of the nature reserve Naturpark Kottenforst-Ville.

The Town of Brühl was the residence of the Prince Bishops of Cologne. In the 18th century the Prince Bishop Clemens August replaced a former ruined castle and built the Palaces Augustusburg and Falkenlust near the city centre. Today both are listed as UNESCO - World Heritage Sites. Until 1990 the Castle was used by the government of the Federal Republic to welcome presidents and heads of other states.

- The Max-Ernst-Museum, opened in 2005. It displays sculptures and paintings of the surrealistic artist Max Ernst, who was born in Brühl.
