Brandon Morrow

Brandon Morrow was the Seattle Mariners' first round draft choice in the 2006 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft, and was the fifth overall selection in the draft. He is a pitcher from the University of California, Berkeley.
Morrow was a starter at California, and in his final season had a record of 7-4 with an ERA of 2.05. Brandon played his first season in the Mariners' system with the Arizona League Mariners and Inland Empire 66ers. He was 0-2 with a 2.77 ERA in Arizona and 0-0 with an 0.00 ERA at Inland Empire.
Brandon Morrow has a blistering 93-98 mph fastball with two excellent complementary pitches (slider & splitter). He registered a 2.25 ERA and 9.6 strikeouts per game at two levels last summer.
