"Breakdown" is a song by Tom Petty. The lyrics describe Tom Petty expressing his strong feelings of connection to a girl/woman. He knows that she feels the same way but she is resisting her feelings. Petty is telling the girl that he doesn't care if she "thinks" she cares a lot (love me) or not (you don't), that he feels secure (I'm not afraid of you running away). Petty is imploring her to surrender to her feelings, which are clear from her eyes -- so why try to pretend otherwise? --, as well as reassuring her that everything will be all right.
