Breanna "Bree" Timmins (sometimes known as Trinity Black) is a fictional character on the popular Australian soap opera Neighbours, portrayed by Sianoa Smit-McPhee. She first appeared in 2005 and has been in the show ever since. She is expected to leave in 2007.
Bree won a national spelling bee in 2005 and was the winner of $15,000 AUD. Bree offered the money to her mother, Janelle, because the family was in debt at the time, but Janelle decided that the family should all get jobs and that Bree was entitled to the money she had won.
Bree re-wrote most of her non-biological mother Janelle's first novel, The Bogan's Tipped Hair, and this was disclosed by Janelle in an (fictional) episode of Rove Live, a real television program aired on Network Ten, the same network that Neighbours is aired on.
In 2006, it was discovered during a science project that she is not the biological daughter of Janelle or Kim Timmins. The midwife who took care of Bree at the hospital revealed that Bree was switched at birth accidentally because she didn't write out the ID tags leading to Bree wanting to find her real family. Bree's search for her real family is kept hidden from her non-biological parents because of what they might think, but when Janelle finds out about the search she is supportive. Bree's search ends abruptly when she receives a letter from her biological parents telling her to stop searching for them, they do not want to know her.
Lately, she has decided that since she does not know her birth parents, she has no real identity. Consequentially, she has tried a range of new looks, including Paris Hilton, and most recently, Gothic. Her boyfriend Zeke is keeping up with her new looks in an effort to impress her.
Bree makes friends with her biggest book fan Anne, who is blind. Anne is the biological daughter of Janelle and Kim Timmins, though she tries to hide it from her and the rest of the Timmins family. Still searching for a non-Timmins identity, Bree looked into changing her name by deed poll, but after finding out that she isn't old enough (a person must be 18 or over "age of adulthood in Australia" to change their name), she instructed Rachel to tell people to call her Trinity Black.
Bree's non-biological grandmother Loris later revealed to Harold Bishop that she swapped Bree with Anne when they were babies because she felt Janelle would be an unfit mother. She felt guilty about what she had done and said that she wanted to make things right. She then left Erinsborough. Bree is still unaware that Loris is the cause of the mix-up.

[edit] Use of the term Trinity Black is Australian Society
Bree's adopted name of "Trinity Black" itself has become a cult nickname amongst some younger Australians. This is more seen predominantly in the southern city of Melbourne, but also has been witnessed also often in other Australian major cities. The referring to one's girlfriend as "Trinity Black" by their boyfriend has become a popular way of expressing one's affection towards them. The use of the nickname largely became popular when “IT” girl Lucinda (Lucy) Ham revealed in Vogue magazine that it was a common nickname used for by her boyfriend John Craven. Since then Ham has been photographed on numerous occasions wearing a tee shirt with the phrase “Trinity Black is the Best” on the more trendy streets of Melbourne.
