Bregan D'aerthe

Bregan D'aerthe is a fictional group in the Dungeons & Dragons-based Forgotten Realms setting. The group is a drow mercenary band based in the drow stronghold of Menzoberranzan. The group has expanded greatly since its founding and has agents in Ched Nasad as well as major cities on the surface, most notably Luskan, Waterdeep, and Calimport. This band of societal malcontents consists of approximately 150 members (though at times known to employ many more, having nearly one thousand agents at work with the Calimport initiative), mainly houseless males. Bregan D'aerthe has been very influential in the chaotic happenings of Menzoberranzan since its inception. It was led by its founder, Jarlaxle Baenre, up until Servant of the Shard and is currently led by the drow psionicist Kimmuriel Oblodra. Berg'inyon Baenre was a lieutenant in the band until he was killed by Artemis Entreri. Other disposed drow nobles that joined this group include Dinin and Vierna Do'Urden. In the War of the Spider Queen storyline, the band is still ruled by Jarlaxle (in name only, as he has "mysteriously disappeared"), and the character Valas Hune is a member of the band.
