Brentwood is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Melville.
It is named for Brentwood, an English village near London which was the birthplace of John Bateman, a pioneer settler in the area.
The school (Brentwood Primary School) was founded by George Lucas in 1956, and in 2006, the school celebrated its 50th anniversarry.[citation needed]
