Brian Townsend

Brian Townsend is an American professional poker player, currently residing in Santa Barbara, California.
Townsend is largely known for his success playing no limit hold 'em and pot-limit omaha at the highest stakes on Full Tilt Poker, playing under the nickname 'sbrugby.'[1][2] Townsend has gained a huge following on the internet because he has gone from playing low stakes poker at 0.50c/$1.00 blinds to the highest stakes online, $200/$400 and $300/$600. He posts regularly on 2 + 2 forums under the name aba20. Although better known for his online play, he has participated in several live tournaments, including an in the money finish at a World Poker Tour no limit hold 'em event[3], and making a final table at a World Series of Poker circuit event[4]. His total live tournament winnings exceed $35,000.[3]
He is currently appearing on season 3 of GSN's High Stakes Poker.[5]
He is also the lead instructor for CardRunners.com, where he posts instructional videos and writes about his daily life and poker experiences in a blog.[6]
