- Briggs is also the name of a Census Designated Place in Oklahoma.
Briggs is a small rural community located in Cherokee County, Oklahoma, east of Tahlequah. It is located on US Highway 62. It is said to have been named for local merchant, John Briggs.
The Briggs Elementary School supports students through the eighth grade.
