Brody the Bear
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Brody the bear is a male Kodiak bear, which is a subspecies of the brown bear. Kodiak bears are considered to be the largest of all brown bears throughout the world.
Brody has been raised and trained by his owner, Jeff Watson, since he was 8 weeks old and weighed less than 10 pounds. His first television appearance was on Good Morning America at the age of 12 weeks.
Brody has appeared in numerous films, television shows, commericals and print ads. He has worked with some of the top wildlife photographers in the United States and has appeared on the cover of National Geographic Magazine in July of 2001.
He and Jeff have traveled throughout the United States educating the public about bears and safety while spending time in bear country hiking, camping and fishing. Durning their travels, they had the opportunity to spend a day with Muhammad Ali at his private residence.
