Brooklyn Academy for Science and the Environment

BASE or Brooklyn Academy for Science and the Environment is a science high school. In 2003, the Prospect Park Alliance and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden partened up to establish BASE. BASE uses field study in Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden to supplement classroom teaching about science, nature, and the environment. BASE shares the Prospect Heights Campus with 4 other small schools. BASE, a unique school has 3 campuses. The other two are Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. [1]
