The Buffalo-Exchange Street Station (BFX) is an Amtrak (former New York Central Railroad) train station. There are plans for relocating this station.

There have been four New York Central Railroad stations on Exchange Street in Buffalo, the third being the Terrace Station, built in 1880. This was closed on November 13, 1935 and was never reopened, as it was in horrible condition.
Plans for the current structure began in 1949. New York heavily funded the station as being part of the Skyway construction. The total cost was $7 million. The station opened on August 2, 1952. The Terrace Station was demolished soon after.
The station originally served 21 New York Central and Toronto, Hamilton and Buffalo Railway trains daily. The double track station had two side platforms connected by an overhead walkway.
From this point, activity at the station quickly declined. In 1962, the New York Central ceased passenger operations to Niagara Falls, and the station was closed.
On October 29, 1977, Amtrak reinstated service between New York and Toronto (Amtrak station), and the station was reopened, though the line is now single track and the second platform and walkway are gone.
