Bulevardul Magheru
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bulevardul Gheorghe Magheru is a boulevard in central Bucharest, located between Piaţa Romană and Bulevardul Nicolae Bălcescu, which leads to the University Square. It is named after General Gheorghe Magheru, a Wallachian Romanian revolutionary and soldier.
Formerly known as Bulevardul Take Ionescu and Bulevardul Brătianu, it was build in the early 20th century as a prolongation of Bulevardul Colţei. Renting commercial spaces on Magheru Boulevard costs about 900€/m²/year, making it the 30th most expensive street in the world, according to Cushman & Wakefield. [1]
