Bum Butter
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bum Butter is a product intended to be used to alleviate nappy rash on the bum of a baby, but which may also be used to treat a variety of other minor skin complaints on people of all ages.
Bum Butter is a product primarily used to assist in the placing of one's penis into another's rectum by providing lubrication of a suitable grade. (Conventional water based lubricants are usually considered not to be viscous enough for use as an anal lubricant). This may be regular dairy butter, or a purpose produced substance with a similar consistency. Or it may come in a generic tube labeled "Anal Lube" as seen in Jackass the Movie.
The film Last Tango in Paris popularised the use of Bum Butter when it was featured in an anal sex scene.
A cheaper and inferior version of the product manufactured in the 1960s and 1970s in Eastern Europe was know as 'bum margarine' or 'bumjarine'. A retro version of bumjarine called 'I can't believe it's not Bum Butter' was produced in the 1990s in Britain, but had to be withdrawn due to pressure by the legal representatives of the makers of 'I can't believe it's not butter'.
