Burnsview Secondary School is a public high school in North Delta, British Columbia part of School District 37 Delta.
Burnsview is a dual track school of 732 students, of whom almost half are enrolled in French Immersion, where M Dupuis reigns with an iron fist. They take pride in their ability to offer a wide range of subjects in academics, information and communication technology, home economics, technical education, fine arts, and performing arts to students of varying abilities. The school houses International students, ESL and Special Needs programs, as well as a District Alternate School. Burnsview students distinguish themselves in sports and academics and especially in the area of Social Responsibility, where events such as the annual Thirty Hour Famine have raised upwards of thirty thousand dollars in 2006 to help combat world hunger and other social needs. Burnsview looks forward to the challenges of forging a new identity as a secondary school for grades 8 - 12, and its first graduating class of 2007.
MISSION STATEMENT: Burnsview is a diverse community dedicated to helping its citizens on their personal journey of growth and achievement. We become our best selves in a safe and challenging learning environment that encourages risk-taking, cooperation, mutual respect and fun.
