Talk:Burton Cummings
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
in the line "In 1970, the band hit No. 1 in America with, ironically, "American Woman", a song not about a woman but about the United States' militaristic ways and societal problems.", it can be disputed, since technically, it's not about either, it's just a song that was made up on the spot on stage at a hockey rink in Kitchener, Ontario
- The rest of the band were waiting for Cummings to take the stage, and they spontaneously came up with the melody as a riff to fill the time in. Which is why all four members of the band ended up with a songwriting credit. -- Cranston Lamont 20:35, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
This is probably unencyclopedic, but in a 1977 radio show Kenny Everett described Cummings as having the most fabulous teeth he'd ever seen on a human being. Lee M 11:37, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
