Business Resource Center was the founding business brokerage firm in Utah, specializing in selling Business opportunities and completing middle market mergers and acquisitions.

[edit] Company Beginnings
Originally founded in 1981 by William J. Tabar as a VR Business Brokers franchise office in Salt Lake City, Utah. The firms aim was to serve the needs of small business owners in buying and selling businesses.
Two more offices were opened by 1983; in Ogden, Utah and Murray, Utah.
In 1990 the company had expanded to have four offices from Ogden, Utah to Saint George, Utah.
By January 1996, over 300 VR offices had dropped the franchise and William J. Tabar elected to discontinue the VR franchise, changing the name to Business Resource Center.
In 2005 William J. Tabar semi-retired and sold the Salt Lake Office to Darlynn Florez, and the Ogden & St. George Offices to Russ Starker. with the offices split as such Three letter designations were added to the companies under new ownership. Salt Lake Office became Business Resource Center SLC. The Ogden & St. George Offices became Business Resource Center OAB.
