• title: Family portrait of the solar system, at the scale 1 px = 1 Mm.

• description: The diameters of the objects (400+ km) are to scale. The limb of the Sun is in the background. From left to right, Mercury, Venus (radar image of the surface), the Earth (and the Moon), Mars, the four largest asteroids (1 Ceres, 2 Pallas, 4 Vesta and 10 Hygiea), Jupiter (and its galilean moons), Saturn (and Mimas, Enceladus, Tethys, Dione, Rhea, Titan and Iapetus), Uranus (and Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Titania and Oberon), Neptune (and Proteus and Triton), Pluto (and Charon). The other large trans-neptunians are not shown. The smallest objects (Mimas, Proteus, Miranda, the asteroids other than 1 Ceres) are slightly exaggerated (instead of 0.4 pixel, they occupy 1 pixel !).

• description : Les diamètres des objets (de 400 km et plus) sont à l'échelle. Le limbe du Soleil apparaît en arrière-plan. De gauche à droite, Mercure, Vénus (image de la surface révélée par le radar), la Terre (et la Lune), Mars, les quelques plus gros astéroïdes ((1) Cérès, (2) Pallas, (4) Vesta et (10) Hygée), Jupiter (et ses lunes galiléennes), Saturne (et Mimas, Encélade, Téthys, Dioné, Rhéa, Titan et Japet), Uranus (et Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Titania et Obéron), Neptune (et Protée et Triton), Pluton (et Charon). Les autres gros trans-neptuniens n'ont pas été illustrés. Les plus petits objets (Mimas, Protée, Miranda, les astéroïdes autres que (1) Cérès) ont eu leur taille exagérée quelque peu (au lieu de 0,4 pixel, ils font 1 pixel !).
