Cadillac Man is a 1990 comedy film starring Robin Williams and Tim Robbins, which details the story of how Brooklyn car salesman Joey O'Brien (Williams) deals with the various pressures in his life. He has got an ex-wife, a missing daughter, a mistress (whom he's two-timing with another man's wife at work), a two-day deadline to sell 12 cars or lose his job and worst of all, an outstanding loan to a Mafia don which he must repay or lose his life. Just when things couldn't possibly get worse, the car dealership where he works is taken over by a machine gun-toting motorcyclist who thinks his wife is cheating on him.
Apparently a seasoned negotiator, O'Brien volunteers to mediate between the terrorist and the New York City police. He manages to get the hostages released one by one, and everyone is grateful to him afterwards. The Mafia forgives the loan, his 12-car deadline is dropped, and so on.
