Talk:Cadillac (disambiguation)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I wonder if Cadillac (automobile) should be the primary page here. The vast majority of "what links here" are automobile articles. Thoughts? --SFoskett 14:09, Nov 3, 2004 (UTC)
- I suggested it a long while ago (probably on Talk:Cadillac (automobile) and never followed through; I believe it would be a good idea. The vast majority of the English-speaking world doesn't even know that "Cadillac" could mean anything BUT the car. —Morven 17:51, Nov 3, 2004 (UTC)

- That's what I came here to say too. When I wanted to add The Cadillacs, I first went Cadillac (disambiguation), only to find there was nothing. The car is definitely the most famous meaning. Tuf-Kat 02:54, Feb 16, 2005 (UTC)

- No one seems to have anything much to say on the topic. Unless there is any disagreement, I will make this change within the next week or so. --SFoskett 21:21, Jun 13, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Bicycle
Did anyone know that they now have a bicycle in their name? --Maoririder 16:28, 2 August 2005 (UTC) Might want to add that into the article. --Maoririder 16:28, 2 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Matrix Reloaded
The major car scene with Naobi/ Jade Pinkett Smith was a full Cadillac affair with the CTS and the Twins in the Escalade. This is factual and I do not know why there is resistance to having it mentioned in Wiki.
Theres no doubt that the reason why it was placed in a movie like that was to change the brands target demographic. Teenagers, not retirees.
If you dont like the way i have put it, why not edit, instead of revert ?
- To the contrary, this seems to be correct addition. --SFoskett 19:48, August 8, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] POV
Is this sentence not POV?
"The car was, sadly, not a commercial success, but today stands out as a modern classic and more than able to hold its own, image-wise, next to its Mercedes-Benz SL rival."
Many would disagree, even today.
[edit] Can we have some pictures back ?
Well all is said in the title above.Ericd 14:31, 26 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Long page
Could the lists of every car that cadillac have made be moved to its their own page? List of Cadillacs by year or something... Ojw 16:20, 8 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Boredom by design
I've seen somewhere (just don't ask where...) early Cads were designed by Alanson Brush (whose page doesn't mention it, either...). Can somebody confirm? Trekphiler 16:13, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Copyrighted pics
I don't understand why the free pictures were removed here and then replaced by copyrighted one. Ericd 13:31, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Deleted section
Someone has deleted a large section after the Current cars portion of the article, I've been trying to restore it but people keep reverting it back to the deleted state. What gives?
[edit] List of Updates
12.7.06 - Deleted reference to the "Cadillac Ecojet" under CONCEPTS as the Ecojet is a collaborative effort GM Advanced Design and Jay Leno. Though it does resemble the 2003 Cien concept, it is NOT a Cadillac. --Flybrian 02:44, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sources for 1932 section?
I have been researching Cadillac a bit and haven't found this story (about Joe Louis and advertising to black drivers being the source of the company's resurgence) anywhere else. Should there be a source attached to this? Not saying it's wrong, it just seems like it might need some sourcing... Schnell 00:14, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
