In the fictional Star Trek universe, the Caitian are a species of catlike humanoids. A Caitian officer, Lieutenant M'Ress, serves on the bridge of the USS Enterprise in the animated Star Trek series.
The name of the Caitian planet is Cait, according to a biography of Lt. M'ress published by Lincoln Enterprises in 1974. Unofficially the species is related to the Kzinti in a similar manner to that of the Vulcans and Romulans.
