California Connected
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
California Connected is a television newsmagazine that currently airs on 12 PBS member stations in California. Hosted by Lisa McRee, the series covers stories pertaining to California. Rather than anchor from a television studio, McRee hosts the show from a different Californian location each week.
The program debuted in 2002 with David Brancaccio as the host; he anchored the show from the studios of PBS station KCET in Los Angeles. McRee replaced Brancaccio in 2004.
California Connected is co-produced by the following four PBS stations: KCET, KQED in San Francisco, KVIE in Sacramento, and KPBS in San Diego. The theme music was written by Christopher Cross and Stephen Bray.
