Calling Dr. Death (1943) was the first of the Universal Pictures Inner Sanctum mystery films. It starred Lon Chaney Jr. and Patricia Morison and was directed by Reginald Le Borg.

Dr. Mark Steele (Lon Chaney Jr.) has lost his memory of the past few days, when he has learned that his wife has been brutally murdered. Steele is aware of his wife's infidelity and believes he could be the killer. He hires nurse Stella Madden (Patricia Morison) to help him recover his lost memories.
