The Camerton branch was a railway line from the Bristol and North Somerset Railway (part of the Great Western Railway), to Limpley Stoke in 1910, where it joined the Wessex Main Line. It opened from Hallatrow (on the B&NSR) in 1882 to Camerton. , and was extended in 1910 along the line of the former Somerset Coal Canal to Limpley Stoke. It was mainly used for coal - in particular, the colliery at Camerton. The original line from Hallatrow to Camerton closed in 1932, with Camerton becoming the western terminus - having also been the eastern terminus and a through station. No other example of this is knowm.
Traffic on the line was never heavy: passenger services were suspended in 1915, resumed in 1923 and finally withdrawn in 1925. Goods traffic remained until 1951.
