The Camperdown Elm in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, New York City. The tree grows from a cutting taken in 1872 from the original mutant elm growing on the grounds of Camperdown House, in Dundee, Scotland, and grafted upon a Wych Elm (Ulmus glabra). Camera points toward southwest at a location southeast from the Boathouse (Prospect Park Audubon Center). Cleft Ridge Span is off-image to the left of the photographer; the Boathouse is behind and to the photographer's right. See also Prospect Park Camperdown elm and Envrions for another view of this tree taken earlier in the season.
