This article doesn't provide any sources to back up its quality, other than the school's own website. It reads like an advertisement, and wikipedia is not a place for schools to advertise.

I can verify and second the fact that this page is the result of the school's tech department and is, in essence, an advertisement. Students have also been to an extent threatened with discinplinary action if they attempt to alter the article.
- Part of the issue is that this article has been the target of frequent vandalism from people who are probably associated with the school. It is unlikely that anybody else would alter the article to claim that the school's principal was a "hobbyist philosopher" [1] or "God bless JV" [2] --not to mention the repetitive, tiresome additions of clearly non-notable students to the "famous alumni" section. Helpful and constructive edits are always welcome, but if your school's administration wants to limit vandalism from the student body, I'm not going to complain about that. For the record, I have nothing to do with the school--I'm an Arkansan who has never even been to California and had never heard of the school until I put this page on my watch list due to the frequent vandalism. Also, I reverted your edits about two members of the school's administration being Jewish because it was completely out-of-context. Why should that be the only single fact about them in the article? IMO, it was just a bit odd. janejellyroll 21:30, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- Claims that this is an advertisement are not at all true. This was created as partly as a learning exercise both for the administration as well as students. There are already areas such as Famous Students which were not added by the school, and in fact which some would prefer not be listed. However as they are factual, to remove them would be suppressing information, and would violate wikipedia's rules. To claim that the entire article is approved and an advertisement indicates that more knowledge of the history page and how a wiki works would be warranted.
- As far as disciplinary action, if you use it as a wiki and put up legitimate information that's what it's for. If you're going to vandalize it, from school computers no less, you violate the agreements you signed as a student and obviously would be subject to discipline. No one can claim that the posting on 1/31 was not outright vandalism and not in the spirit of wikipedia.--Awr29886 19:58, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
The Campbell Hall article is part of Wikipedia's California Section. Many other independent schools are listed in the California section. Students are encouraged to put up legitimate content that they can verify. Malicious attempts to vandalize the site are a violation of Wikipedia's Acceptable Use Policy and also a violation of Campbell Hall's AUP. Students might consider adding content on their school clubs, sports teams, classes, special events and other activities that are true and reflect the true nature of the school. Articles that are personal in nature or attempt to be derogatory in any way toward the school or any individual are not appropriate.
