Can The Can was a popular single by Suzi Quatro
Written and produced by Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman, Can The Can was the second single by Quatro and her first to reach number one in the UK, spending a single week at the top of the chart in June 1973. It also reached #1 on the charts in Australia, in whose market Quatro achieved her most consistent success throughout her career as a recording artist.
It is probably most famous for the chorus line
- "Make a stand for your man, try to can the can"
- "Put your man in the can, get him while you can"
- "Can the can, if you can"
It belatedly became a hit in her homeland peaking at #56 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1976.
