Canadian Natural Resources Limited TSX: CNQ NYSE: CNQ is an oil and natural gas exploration, development and production company based in Calgary, Alberta. Operations are focused in Western Canada, the North Sea and offshore West Africa. Currently CNRL is building an Oilsands Plant north of Fort McMurray, Alberta.
Besides the Calgary, Alberta headquarters, CNRL has several field offices in Alberta, British Columbia, as well as international offices in Angola, Côte d'Ivoire and Scotland.
An extra division focuses on horizontal drilling for production from Oil Sands.
CNRL also has a midstream division.
It was announced on September 14, 2006 that Anadarko Petroleum Corporation would sell their Canadian subsidiary, Anadarko Canada Corp., to CNRL for an estimated $4.24 billion USD. [1]
