The Carinthian Blondvieh is an old autochthonous cattle breed that is native in Carinthia in Austria.

Uniformly white until corn-yellow cattle breed with bright mouth, horns and claws. Cows 500-600 kg, bulls 800-850 kg. The Blondvieh was once draft cattle and milk and beef productor.

The date of origin is unknown. Once every colour was an own breed.
Dr. Adolf Gstirner sees the Blondvieh as descendant of the Slovenian Cattle that came with Slavic people to Carinthia. They were crossed with the Gelbvieh - a new breed was born.

2002: 421 cows - 42 bulls
2005: 524 cows - 40 bulls - 323 calves
