Cary Township, Wake County, North Carolina

Cary Township (also designated Township 4) is one of twenty townships within Wake County, North Carolina. As of the 2000 census, Cary Township had a population of 69,044, a 53.0% increase over 1990, and a population density of 3.95 people per acre (976/km²).
Cary Township, occupying 17,472 acres (71 km²) in western Wake County, includes the bulk of the town of Cary and portions of the towns of Apex and Raleigh. Cary contains four High Schools: Green Hope, Cary, Athens, and Panther Creek. Cary is also know for its annual Lazy Days festival held in August.
