SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash is a series of SNK Playmore games between 1999 and 2006 for hand-held consoles.
This game has a collectible trading card theme, spun off from the popular series of fighting games by SNK and Capcom, and also including references to many other kinds of games from both companies. The game uses cards based on Capcom and SNK characters from a variety of earlier and newer games. The 2 first versions of this game were released for Neo-Geo Pocket Color, and recently was released a new version for the Nintendo DS.

[edit] SVC: Card Fighter's Clash
This is the first game of this series, released in 1999, also is the first crossover between this 2 companies, all illustrated in super deformed style. There's 2 versions of the game, complementary between them: the SNK version [1] and the Capcom version [2].
[edit] SVC: Card Fighters 2 Expansion Edition
There was a sequel to this game, released in the year 2000, after Capcom vs. SNK 2 but only in Japan. Fully compatible with the first game, this sequel including several new cards, including the characters that were in the game, and new SD illustrations being made by a different artist. Also incluides special cards with alternate versions of various characters, with artwork instead SD (like AOF's Young Geese or SFA3's Cody).
[edit] SVC: Card Fighters DS
This game was released on December 14 of 2006 in Japan and is scheduled to be released on April 24, 2007 in the USA, for the Nintendo DS. Aside from graphical improvements this incarnation offers some new features:
- ADK characters have been added to the SNK side, from games like World Heroes, Aggressors of Dark Kombat and Ninja Master's
- Various characters from both companies now have alternative versions, for example, SNK's Ralf Jones and Clark Steel can wear their outfits from Ikari Warriors, or Capcom's Morrigan in her new appearance fusioned with Lilith. Another good example of this is that both Megaman X and the traditional Megaman appear.
- Many newcomers have been added from recent games produced by both companies, such as Capcom's Dante and Phoenix Wright or SNK's Yuki and Nagase.
