[edit] Moving
After seeing that table of plot differences added, I felt the need to just at least start this article.. which would promote a community incentive to expand it and write it properly. ...But I also have a huge problem with the content in the table. It's not necessarily properly written but also has POV. I'd hate to just erase the whole thing for all the effort done, but I can't think of a proper way to reorganize the information off the top of my head. --Crisu 02:45, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- Since there are full English versions of Cardcaptor Sakura, Cardcaptors really isn't the "English version", but rather a different version. Splitting it to it's own article seems like a good idea, as this can be expanded on. -- Ned Scott 03:03, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- Well the full dub is called Cardcaptors, too, I think. This article should be about that full dub with a subsection devoted to the US adaptation that most of us know about. --Crisu 03:11, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- Well i think it should refer to the dub at a whole. And how it was shown in all english-speaking countries. Lest we want misinterptation. So i agree with Crisu. I have altered the table to try and include some balance, but we really need to use some non flame sites to get better infomation. --Dynamo_ace Talk
- I'm not sure, but I think there have been two English dubs, and then of course Cardcaptors having a North American edit. But in addition to that, Geneon has released all the episodes on DVD, uncut, under the original title, with English subtitles [1] (must.. resist urge to buy them all... must save money.. ). So, while not a "dub", it's still an official English release. :D -- Ned Scott 07:21, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- Oh yeah, I guess we have the Animax translation now, so the wording can be adjusted a bit. The Animax section can stay in the CCS article for now, I think, since it's fairly brief. But CC should stand on its own because it has gone through widespread broadcast and a large merchanising line. (And you don't want to buy that DVD; you want this.) --Crisu 16:10, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Removed Incorrect Info
I removed the text stating that The Canadian version started at episode 8 because I know for a fact that earler episodeds were aired.70.48.174.30 23:19, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
- Were they aired first though? And if so, was it the first time around or on repeats? Shiroi Hane 00:44, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] what to do with "the other article"
Here's what's left of "the other article" List of Cardcaptors (US) media. Not sure if any of that should be merged or remain as an article (and if so, what should link to it?). -- Ned Scott 05:29, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
- I think it needs to die. o.o It can come back when we get a real "Cardcaptors media information" article ready, but for now.. it looks like we can just merge the paragraph about DVD releases in this main article and possibly the DVD titles. The episode titles are already on the CCS media info page. --Crisu 06:56, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
- Sounds about right to me. -- Ned Scott 08:05, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
- We already have such an article on its media done, we don't need another one. It was another destabilation attempt which we thwarted but can't we just put on semi-protection on these pages and remove 50% of the vandalism and\or flaming? --Dynamo_ace Talk
- Semi-protection is only permitted to those articles that are vandalized multiple times (like 10+) daily (see WP:RFP). Otherwise the admins will just tell you to manually revert it yourself; their goal is to keep articles freely open. --Crisu 16:57, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
- Problem is that it doesn't account for articles which are "ultra-senstive" like this one, which would be prone to vandlism due to its content.--Dynamo_ace Talk
- I don't really see any more significant vandal traffic on this article than I do on most of the ones I watch. -- Ned Scott 20:19, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Citations
No sources are cited on this article, but it shouldn't be hard to find them. I noticed some "differences between dub" info was removed from the main Cardcaptor Sakura article, but that doesn't seem to be a big deal since we have this article now. But it made me realize that we haven't actually cited anything. We can probably find some reviews and such for the stuff about sexuality relationships and stuff, then just cite episodes themselves for the more obvious edits. If anyone has any particularly notable reviews (from a well known magazine or something to that extent) that we can use then that would be really helpful. (we can use lesser known reviews as well, but it's good to have at least one really strong reference, then you can have some others ones to help show what is a common view.) -- Ned Scott 18:43, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Cardcaptor Reedemer will be a good source. However, i would advise against citing things from a US site, since it was "highly affected" there. --Dynamo_ace Talk
[edit] Controversy
I made a mild attempt to balance out the controversy section, but obviously if anyone else can improve it greatly, go right ahead. --ShortShadow 05:38, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Well that's good enough for a neutral opion. Thank you --Dynamo_ace Talk
I wish there was a way to cite this a bit better. It all just looks like an opinionated page. -Anon
The problem is what to cite, we can't cite US sites because some have not got the right facts. So if your talking about why i reverted the removal of the info about pro-CC sites (which i am thinking of doing again). Its because without it the article is at risk of being unbalanced. --Dynamo_ace Talk
