Founded in 1973, Casablanca American School [1] is a coeducational, Nursery through Grade Twelve day school offering a U.S. style education designed to prepare students for university study.
Casablanca American School [2](CAS) was the first school in North Africa to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme, as well as the first to offer the IB Middle Years Programme. The IB Diploma permits students to gain entrance to outstanding universities around the world. CAS alumni have attended or are attending such universities as: Yale University, Stanford University, Harvard University, M.I.T., Universita Bocconi (Italy), La Sorbonne (France), London School of Economics (England), Faculté de Médecine de Casablanca (Morocco), McGill University (Canada), and Keio University (Japan).
CAS is a member of the Mediterranean Association of Independent Schools (MAIS), the European Council of International Schools (ECIS), and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). CAS is one of 185 schools around the world supported by the Office of Overseas Schools of the U.S. Department of State.
