Casale Media™ is a famous spam-company. Casalemedia uses a tracking cookie that records your Internet activities and may gather sensitive information without your consent. Casalemedia sends data to it’s remote server to later use for marketing purposes. It’s posing a security and privacy risk.[1] [2] [3]
The company began as a spyware install company called SpywareStormer to generate revenue.As of May 2006, they claim to serve ads to 170 million unique users worldwide. Most of their ads are reported to include annoying pop-ups which can even bypass the ad-blocker provided by the Microsoft Internet Explorer. The pop-ups contain 'free screensavers' ad in which three pictures are shown including a highly graphic nudity. Examples include: Free Screensavers
A second most puplar ad of Casale Media reads 'Warning - Spyware Notice', eventually confusing the computer user to click on the ad in panic.
Due to the cultural diversities all over the world, the ads of Casale Media might be taken as normal in a few countries while they are considered highly offensive in many eastern countries.
