Cascadia is a master planned community that will encompass more than 5,000 acres of land to the south of Bonney Lake, Washington. Construction started in 2005 and will take nearly 10 years to complete, at which time the population could be over 10,000.^{[citation needed]} There will be a commercial district, industrial park, schools, as well as parks and open space for residents to enjoy.
