Castelgrande is a town and comune in the province of Potenza, in the Southern Italian region of Basilicata. It is bounded by the comuni of Laviano (SA), Muro Lucano, Pescopagano, Rapone, San Fele. Other article in Italian [1]

This image shows the new road and tunnel, yet to be opened. The 'Mother Church' is also visible, with its belfry still shrouded in scaffoldings.
This image shows the village with Mt Giano in the background. Note the cranes still much in evidence after over 20 years of rebuilding work (following a major earthquake when 20 people died in Castelgrande alone). The modern buildings in the foreground form part of the new sport centre, built in the 'Campestre' area.
