Castillianization
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Castillianization or Castillianisation (Spanish: Castellanización) is a term used to describe a cultural change in which something or someone non-Castillian (that is Spanish) becomes (voluntarily or by force) Spanish.
The term is often used in relation to the Catalan language, and other lesser-used languages of Spain. It is also used to refer to the adoption of the Spanish langugae in Mexico by indigenous peoples.
