Cathédrale Saint-Sauveur d'Aix

The Saint-Sauveur Cathedral of Aix-en-Provence is the result of several successive buildings on the same site, including a Romanesque cathedral; a Gothic church built from 1285 to 1513; and several chapels from the late Middle Ages.
Among famous works of art in this cathedral are the Aygusi altar dating from 1470, a painting by Nicolas Froment dating from 1476, and 16th century Brussels tapestries.
The church is a national monument of France.
