Catherine Karina Chmiel is a Polish artist and illustrator who has created drawings and pictures on many different subjects. Her most notable work are likely those which depict and accompany the works of J. R. R. Tolkien. She has annually represented Poland at the international Tolkien art exhibition Images of Middle-Earth since November 2002,[1] [2] and has participated in the Tolkien journal Aiglos since its inception, writing, illustrating and translating.[3]
Chmiel is a regular contributor to the works of various publishing companies, including Prószyński i S-ka and Egmont[citation needed]. She has also worked with many advertising agencies such as J. Walter Thompson , Leo Burnett and Saatchi & Saatchi.[2]
Chmiel also enjoys studying zoology.[citation needed]
