Catherine McCormack

Catherine McCormack (born January 1, 1972 in Alton, Hampshire, England) is an English actress.
Her first notable role was as the character Murron in the multiple Academy Award-winning movie Braveheart, which also starred and was directed by Mel Gibson.
Her screen debut, however, was as the lead in the Anna Campion directed film Loaded. After the success of Braveheart, McCormack had starring roles in Nils Gaup's Northstar and Marshall Herskovitz's Dangerous Beauty. She has also appeared in David Leland's Land Girls and has played the leading role of Hannah in Davy Kane's This Year's Love, which also starred Kathy Burke.
She also starred in Spy Game, opposite Robert Redford and Brad Pitt.

- 2000: Nominated for a Laurence Olivier Theatre Award in 2001 (2000 season) for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in "All My Sons" at the Royal National Theatre, Cottesloe Stage.
- 2003: Played "Claudia" in the UK premiere of Honour, a play by Joanna Murray-Smith at the National Theatre, London.
- 2006: The 39 Steps at the Tricycle Theatre and Criterion Theatre, London.
