Catholic League

Throughout history there have been many alliances and organizations known as the Catholic League, including:
- Catholic League (French) - Faction during the French Wars of Religion
- Catholic League (German) - 17th century alliance of German Catholic States during the Thirty Years' War
- Catholic League (U.S.) - Catholic civil rights group in the United States
- Philadelphia Catholic League - High School Sports League in Philadelphia
- Baltimore Catholic League - High School Basketball League in Baltimore, Maryland
The were also several so-called Holy Leagues, initiated by the Popes of the times and directed at alleged enemies of the Catholic Church:
- Holy League (1495) - also known as the "League of Venice", an alliance initiated by Pope Alexander VI against France.
- War of the League of Cambrai - a major conflict during the Italian Wars
- Holy League (1538) - an alliance initiated by Pope Paul III that lost the Battle of Preveza in 1538 against the Ottomans.
- Holy League (1571) - an alliance initiated by Pope Pius V that won the Battle of Lepanto (1571) against the Ottomans.
- Great Turkish War - composed of European powers against the Ottoman Empire 1684 to 1699; Eastern Orthodox Russia was part of this league from 1686 onward.
