Cato the anti-Federalist

Cato was the pseudonym for an anti-federalist who wrote essays during the ratification debates in the United States of America during the 1780s. Some historians believe Cato was actually George Clinton, a politician from New York. In his writings he directly opposed many of James Madison's views.
