The attempt of this page is to reorganize it to make it easier to understand and to incorporate the new guidelines. Please make any changes you wish to the rewrite, but please don't change policies or guidelines without first discussing the change at Wikipedia talk:Categorization. You can make as radical a change as you want, and you can start with any version that you wish. If you start an alternate version, please add "Alternate version N" to the EDIT SUMMARY. The original version of the categorization page is the first one saved in the history, so it is possible to use the history page to see how a version changes from the original or how it changes from any version.
