CDGVAL is a free automatic shuttle service at Charles de Gaulle International Airport with two lines which are due to begin in mid-2007. Based on the VAL system and using VAL 208 coaches, a first five-station line will link the three airport terminals, RER and TGV stations and remote parking within 8 minutes. At rush hours, train frequency will be every 4 minutes.
The service will be jointly operated on a 24-hour basis by Siemens and Keolis for a period of six years.

The CDGVAL project replaced the SK6000 project, which was abandoned after unsuccessful test runs in 1999. CDGVAL was launched in 2000, with construction work beginning in 2003. Total cost is estimated at €145 million.

A second CDGVAL line, called LISA (Liaison Interne Satellite Aérogare), is foreseen between the Terminal 2E and the future Terminal S3 and should open in 2007 as well. It will be located within the security controlled area of the airport and therefore only accessible to flight passengers. It is 0.6 km long (2 stations). This link could later be extended to the future terminal S4.
