Cecily von Ziegesar

Cecily von Ziegesar (born 27th June 1970) is an American author of youth oriented novels. She attended a prep school located in Manhattan, and her books reflect that atmosphere of the high-end lifestyle and stretched the imagination of the teen years including drugs, alcohol, sexual exploration, and twisted friendships.

Her initial series, Gossip Girl, made the New York Times Best Sellers list in 2002.
Its spin-off, The It Girl series, made the list in 2005.
