Centennial Regional High School (CRHS) is a high school located in the Greenfield Park area of Longueuil, Quebec, Canada, a suburb of Montreal. It is an English-language high school which was first built in 1967 to commenmorate one hundred years since Canada became a country. However, it only opened to students in 1972. There are over 2000 students who attend this school. CRHS has a student body rich in cultural diversity - most notably its Islamic and asian communities.
Centennial has a special TaG programme (Talented and Gifted) which was created by Dr. Cajetan Menke for advanced students. The program includes accelerated mathematics and science courses (for example, a student in grade 9 would do grade 10 mathematics).
The largest English high school in Quebec also has many extracurricular activities, including (but not limited to): The Follies (Centennial's variety show), Science Fair, Cultural Fair and Stock Exchange Competition. Centennial students have proven to be quite successful when it comes to science, regularly sending multiple award-winning representatives to the Bell Regional Science Fair.
In terms of sports, the school fields teams in badminton, basketball, cross country running, curling, field hockey, ice hockey and track and field. CRHS is regularly competitive on the regional and provincial levels in most sports. A lion's share of the teams participate in the SSIAA (South Shore Interscholastic Athletics Association) while some teams also play games in Montreal-based leagues.
During Rep'N'June, students in Middle School can take two courses for two weeks (such as Calligraphy, Fun with Fashion, Middle School Idol, etc.) or catch up on classes that have given them trouble during the year. This concept is an alternative for students who are borderline-passing some subjects and who would have otherwise repeated the course.
The school also features a legal graffiti group known as "The Crew" organized by the school's spiritual animator; David Dupont.
