Center for American Unity
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Center for American Unity is an American non-profit educational organization dedicated to "preserving our historical unity as Americans into the 21st Century". In practice, this means a concern with "these emerging threats: mass immigration, multiculturalism, multilingualism, and affirmative action", which it views as threatening to the United States' survival "as a nation-state, the political expression of a distinct American people".
Operated by Edith Hakola, the Center is best known for Vdare, a web-based writers collective that the foundation used to support. In addition, the Center has filed amicus briefs in several court cases involving immigration-related issues.
The Center and VDARE are included in the Southern Poverty Law Center's list of "hate groups"
