Central United States

The Central United States is a region between the Eastern and Western regions of the United States. It is often presented as part of an alternative three region model counter to the East/West two region model. The estimated population of the central United States is around 54,000,000. The region always includes Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Texas. Alternately it can include some or all of: Alabama, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico, Ohio, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
