Characters in F-Zero X
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The following is a description of pilots, by race number, in the Nintendo video game, F-Zero X. There is a total of 31 pilots on this list, with 2 of them sharing a same machine).
[edit] Pilots
[edit] Clinton "Mighty" Gazelle

- Sex: M
- Age: 37
- Machine Number: 01
Title: The Resurrected Cyborg Pilot
Biography: His full name is Clinton Gazelle and before the accident, Clinton Gazelle had a red punk hairdo. He is called MM Gazelle in the Japanese version of F-Zero X. His original job was a 3D photographer and his fiancé ran away from him when she saw him as a cyborg. The huge accident that temporarily suspended the F-Zero Grand Prix three years prior to F-Zero X, saw Mighty Gazelle, who took the worst damage, barely escaping death. He is now classified as a cyborg, raising controversy on his right to continue racing. All of his body is now mechanical, as a result he is able to fine-tune all of his reflex-related components and racing skills without fear of death.
Machine Information: He races in the Red Gazelle, which is fairly balanced but with above-average cornering, making it a good choice for technical courses. This F-Zero machine was manufactured by Cyber Stick, Inc., the same company that resurrected Mighty Gazelle as a cyborg. In line with Mighty Gazelle's mechanical body, they designed a technologically superior machine model but were forced to sacrifice body strength to some degree.
Body: E
Boost: A
Grip: C
Weight: 1,330 Kg.
Vehicle Designer: Cyber Stick, Inc.
Engine Model Number: CY96-Z1x1
Might Gazelle features a balance between acceleration and top speed, but its cornering is not very good. The shape of the machine and the grip makes for decent performance in courses with many turns and its boost capabilities make it good for straightaways.
[edit] Jody Summer

- Sex: F
- Age: 25
- Machine Number: 02
Title: The Former Miss Galactic Federation
Jody Summer (Japanese: Zoji Suma/ゾヂ スマ) first appeared in F-Zero X, and has subsequently appeared in F-Zero GX, and F-Zero GP Legend. She also makes a cameo appearance as one of the trophies in Super Smash Bros Melee.
Biography: Twenty-five year old Jody Summer is a combat-machine pilot affiliated with the Galactic Space Federation. Her abilities are highly regarded, and she is respected by both her peers and superiors for her heroism and bravery both in combat and in the F-Zero Grand Prix. Because of these reasons, she was chosen to be both the Galactic Federation's spokesperson and Miss Galactic Space Federation. Although she does not have much experience as an F-Zero pilot and she has yet to win a Grand Prix, she is the target of many rivals because of her incredible ability to control speed. Jody loves Captain Falcon, dislikes John Tanaka and hates Octopuses. She was nicknamed White Cat by her father, Professor Mason Summer.
Machine Information: Jody Summer's machine is the White Cat, which has a body and boost rating of C, and a grip rating of A. It weighs 1,150 kilograms. The Galactic Space Federation designed the machine with adequate grip for every course on the circuit. They did so using the actual combat data from all sorts of planets, factoring in varying gravity levels, atmospheric resistance, and temperature extremes. In planning for the future, they are researching the possibilities of implementing technology using military-grade stealth components. If they are successful, the White Cat will have no rival.
Body: C
Boost: C
Grip: A
Weight: 1,150 Kg.
Vehicle Designer: Galactic Space Federation/Warplane Research Department
The White Cat has great grip, great cornering, and a stable shape. It is a good machine for rookies. However, the body and boost do not offer it much strength when attacking other racers and they place a limit on the craft's capabilities.
[edit] Dr. Robert Stewart
[edit] Baba Orninion

- Sex: M
- Age: 19
- Machine Number: 04
Title: The Wild Child from the Green Land
Biography: Baba Orninion was born and raised on the lush green planet, Giant (Hai 4 in F-Zero X). He has preternatural animal instincts and a well-toned physique, both of which caused him to be recruited by the F-ZERO Pilot Selection Committee. He left his home and underwent a great deal of training in order to make his F-ZERO Grand Prix debut. He didn’t win, unfortunately, and knowing he still had much to learn, he set out on a spiritual journey to increase his confidence. As a result, his physical strength has increased twofold, as did his bragging. He's also very effeminate (Baba screams like the female characters in F-Zero X when he falls off a track and is the object of many in-game jokes related to homosexuality).
Machine Information: His F-Zero machine is called the Iron Tiger, and is a very balanced machine with great control, making it great for beginners. The F-Zero Execution Project Committee commissioned their Pilot Training School to build this machine in order to help up-and-coming F-Zero pilots. Their hope was to create a machine to help these pilots beat the burden of winning future Grand Prix championships. The charm of the Iron Tiger is stable operation. Combined with Baba's wild and dynamic driving style, the Machine Design Committee has succeeded in achieving an even high degree of potential from this machine.
Body: B
Boost: D
Grip: A
Weight: 1,780 Kg.
Vehicle Designer: F-ZERO Pilot Training School-Machine Design Committee
The Iron Tiger has a good deal of turning stability, but it cannot handle more intensive turns. The boost is not strong, but boosts with ratings of D and E last longer than the more powerful boosts. It is one of 3 GX machines with the rating of BDA. It is more on the acceleration side than top speed, making it somewhat undesirable for experts. The Iron Tiger is a good choice for snakers.
[edit] Samurai Goroh
[edit] Pico
[edit] Captain Douglas Jay Falcon
[edit] Octoman

- Sex: M
- Age: 88
- Machine Number: 08
Title: The Future of the Planet Takora
Biography: The name Octoman is derived from a series of clicks and whistles. He likes to hang out with Mrs. Arrow and Dr. Clash. Octoman is a representative of the planet Takora, which is at odds with the Milky Way Space Federation. The confrontation between the Federation and Takora grows more tense and drawn out each day. The Takoraians are surrounded by enemies and are in bad economical condition. Due to this, Octoman wants to win the Grand Prix so that he can pay the education costs of his children and give the rest of his earnings to the government of Takora to give it hope for the future. Octoman also makes a cameo appearance in Star Fox Command as one of the Anglar Emperor's henchmen that pilots the Octopod.
- Other possibly Takoraian member could be Lord Kimbo (a crime lord mentioned in Antonio Guster's profile from F-Zero X).
Machine Information: Octoman's machine is called the Deep Claw and is a well-balanced machine that picks up speed quite quickly. However, it can be a little hard to steer sometimes, mainly around tight corners (it doesn't have a very good drift turn). The planet of Takora doesn't have highly advanced scientific technology, so it was a challenge for the Takoraians to make a quality racer. They bought a used F-Zero machine with standard balanced capabilities and equipped it with a cockpit that would make it easy for a Takoraian to operate. The Takoraians changed nothing in terms of the machine's capabilities- they are set to standard, providing the machine with a relaxed feel. If this machine is ever to win a Grand Prix, it will likely need some serious adjustment.
Body: B
Boost: B
Grip: C
Weight: 990 Kg.
Vehicle Designer: Kurosuminov Universal Shipbuilders
The Deep Claw is one of the most balanced crafts in the game. Its Body is good, and its weight is very low, allowing for quick turns. The Grip is a C, which is only a problem on courses with heavier turns and jumps. It is probably the best rookie car.
Additional Information: Octoman cameos in the DS game Star Fox Command as a boss during one of the alternate storylines on the planet Aquas; he appears identical to his F-Zero X counterpart save for a white stripe going vertically down his forehead and pilots a small octopus-like ship that hides in jars on the ocean floor. He also brainwashes Slippy Toad to attack you with lasers and mines. If you choose to pursue the same storyline with Krystal and Star Wolf, or pursue the storyline that includes the Star Fox team with Fox, Falco, Slippy, and Peppy, Octoman will appear again on the final world, Venom, as a sub-boss guarding one of the Anglar Empire's bases in a ship that resembles a white and red Deep Claw armed with a pair of lasers and mines.
[edit] Mr. EAD

- Age: Unknown
- Sex: M
- Machine Number: 09
Title: The Assassin from the "Mysterious" EAD Organization
Biography: Mr. EAD is an android created by the mysterious development group EAD created for unknown purposes. His sole purpose in this grand prix is to complete the final testing phase for his IQ and AI programming. After his run on the last F-ZERO Grand Prix, he endured many trials—combat training, spy activities, college exams and many others. If all of his capabilities function as calculated, there should be nothing that can keep him from winning the Grand Prix. His victory will signify the birth of a flawless android and mark the beginning of a new dawn in the age of robotics.
Mr. EAD seems to be a play on Mario, Nintendo's famous mascot character. The starman on his belt and his large moustache are dead give-aways. EAD favorite food is Italian and also, his name along with his vehicle's stats are a reference to Nintendo's EAD (short for Entertainment and Analysis Development). EAD is known for games such as Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Pikmin, Star Fox, Animal Crossing, F-Zero and Donkey Kong.
Machine Information: Mr. EAD's machine is called the Great Star and is a difficult machine to use. It has somewhat poor handling, extremely weak armour, and a slightly low top speed. However, it has excellent acceleration and great boost capabilities. Only advanced racers (or racers looking for a challenge) should use this machine. This machine was designed by Shiggs Mapone (whose name is a play off of Shigeru Miyamoto, a famous Nintendo game producer), rumored to be the head of a mysterious underground development group known as EAD. Mapone took on the design of the Great Star with visions of it achieving F-Zero Grand Prix champion status. Mapone totally neglected stability when designing this machine, but added a very strong booster- he likely did this because he knew the pilot manning the machine would be an invulnerable android.
Body: E
Boost: A
Grip: D
Weight: 1,870Kg.
Vehicle Designer: Shiggs Mapone
The Great Star is, statistically, the worst ship in the game. It has the worst rating set, not even averaging a "C". The Body is horrible, and it may crash a lot because of its high weight and poor Grip. However, the Acceleration and Top Speed are balanced, and the Boost is incredible. It is a very difficult ship to use.
[edit] James McCloud

- Age: 32
- Sex: M
- Machine Number: 10
Title: Captain of a Contract Flight Squad
Biography: James McCloud is based on Fox McCloud's father also called James McCloud, and his vehicle resembles an Arwing. His favorite quote is, “A friendship is a treasure that will last a lifetime”. McCloud is the leader of the flight squad Galaxy Dog (a direct wordplay on Star Fox). He had his combat plane converted into an F-ZERO machine in order to compete in the Grand Prix. During peacetime there is very little work available, so McCloud has entered his second race in an attempt to take home the big prize money. He is motivated to become the new champion by thoughts of his wife and young son, both of whom need his support. If he wins the F-Zero Grand Prix, he will use the money to buy his son a racing model.
Machine Information: His machine, the Little Wyvern, is a modified version of the fighting crafts used by the Galaxy Dog squad. The squad's leader, James McCloud, was the person responsible for convincing Space Dynamics to create the machine for him. For Space Dynamics, the Little Wyvern was an experiment to test their acumen in F-Zero machine design. Their main objective was to discover new ways to capitalize on the potential they designed and implemented into their fighter crafts.
Body: E
Boost: B
Grip: B
Weight: 1,390 Kg.
Vehicle Designer: Space Dynamics, Inc.
The Little Wyvern is a natural extension of the Golden Fox: an agile, delicate vehicle with high acceleration and a potent Boost rating. Drivers must lean on the Boost button, only adding to the vulnerability of the car, but it can fly past just about any other vehicle on the course, and out-turn it too. The Little Wyvern itself is on the low end of this performance envelope; it is somewhat slower, less agile and fairly large, making it a good entry-level car for those attempting to master this type of vehicle.
[edit] Billy

- Age: 7
- Sex: M
- Machine Number: 11
Title: A Space Monkey's Evolved Offspring
Biography: One of Billy's ancestors was a trained rocket pilot and the first monkey in space. Whether by genetic predisposition or not, Billy's ability as a pilot is truly exceptional, and he's the first monkey to enter the F-ZERO Grand Prix. His full name is Eeach-Koo-Koo-Koo Yia and he is from the planet Odyapes. He was raised in a special lab where he was educated in human literacy and communication skills. The lab concurrently developed an F-Zero racer suitable for a monkey and bestowed upon him the honor of piloting it in the Grand Prix.
- The Big Blue race courses featured in F-Zero X are actually held on Billy's home world of Odyapes.
- Billy seems to be very greedy, as shown at the end of F-ZERO GX's Grand Prix mode, most of Billy's answers to the questions asked by the reporter involve Billy demanding the prize money, or saying something to the effect of "Money makes the world go round"
- Billy has a picture of Aiai on his belt in F-Zero GX.
Machine Information: Billy's machine, the Mad Wolf, was designed so a monkey could operate it. Because Billy was limited written-language recognition, the design lab implemented a navigation system that operates with the assistance of pictures, colors, sights, and smells. For instance, in track locations where it is suitable to accelerate quickly, the smell of bananas (Billy's absolute favorite thing) is emitted into the cockpit, thereby exciting him and making him press the accelerator.
Body: B
Boost: B
Grip: C
Weight: 1,490 Kg.
Vehicle Designer: Mad Baboon Science Laboratories
[edit] Kate Alen

- Age: 30
- Sex: F
- Machine Number: 12
Title: The High Speed Diva
Biography: Kate is the megastar singer who was chosen to sing at the opening ceremonies of the past several F-ZERO Grand Prix races. Her fans are wild about her powerful dance moves and soulful vocals. Her hit record was called, “A Little Love Hurt No One”. Kate is one out of 11 brothers and sisters. Completely allured by the extreme speed of the race, Kate chose to pursue F-ZERO racing rather than continue furthering her musical career. Taking full advantage of her sense of rhythm and athleticism, she plans to run a rambunctious race.
Machine Information: Kate Alen commissioned her machine, the Super Piranha's construction with some of the massive fortune she accumulated throughout her musical career. The machine is solid- it boasts stable racing capabilities in all categories. In order to drown out engine rumble and outside noise with her music, she had a pure hi-fi sound cockpit constructed for the Super Piranha. Interestingly enough, her vehicle's stats are exactly the same as Captain Falcon's Blue Falcon.
Body: B
Boost: C
Grip: B
Weight: 1,010 Kg.
Vehicle Designer: Team Power Boys
[edit] Zoda

- Age: Unknown
- Sex: M
- Machine Number: 13
Title: A Phantom Who Plots to Conquer Earth
Biography: Zoda is the leader of the Zolorkian Coalition from the planet 41 Uma, a military coalition which has led attacks on Earth with the hopes to establish a Zolorkian world government and use the planet for mining, refueling, and gambling. He was also a racer that formed part in the Underground Races during the F-Zero's prohibition period. Zoda is in a long dispute with the hero of justice, Super Arrow. He has also been marked by Captain Falcon, and once was almost captured for his bounty. Zoda's crazed tendencies come from a special device that pumps adrenaline and dopamine into his body. He enters the Grand Prix races to raise funding for his sinister plots, and during this latest race, he plans to take out anyone who dares interfere with his master plan. Zoda likes to grow flowers that kill people and he also shares name with the villain from the StarTropics games.
As happens with Pico, Zoda's species is never named in any F-Zero game. Although his look-like shares a striking resemblance with humanity, his fangs, his yellowish eyes, and his gray skin suggest that he's clearly from another species. It is known that he's from planet 41 Uma, but there are many planets in the F-Zero universe that hold human life. The "Zolorkian" Coalition whom he's its leader could be either the name of his species, or just the name of the military division.
However during an interview with Mr. Zero after winning a Grand Prix in Master Class Zoda reveals that he is originally from Earth. Also in F-Zero GP Legend, revealed Zoda to be originally human, however the game and anime are both considered reboot continuities.
Machine Information: The Death Anchor is an interplanetary ballistic missile (IPBM) that was remodeled into an F-Zero machine by the secret society Deathriddle, who stole it from the Galactic Space Federation. Since the original plan was to be used as an ultimate weapon, it still has a self-destruct device installed. This fact is unknown to Zoda.
Body: E
Boost: A
Grip: C
Weight: 1,620 Kg.
Vehicle Designer: The Secret Society Deathriddle
The Death Anchor's stats seem to flow naturally, pointing to a single playing style. Its body is horrible, so you should not crash it often. It has good turning and Grip to accomplish that. It has high Top Speed, and it will maintain that speed if it does not crash. Finally, its boost is very powerful, and can help it maintain a lead.
[edit] Jack Levin

- Age: 19
- Sex: M
- Machine Number: 14
Title: The Lightning-Fast Super Idol
Biography: Jack is a former pop-group member who set the entertainment industry on fire by pursuing his dream to become an F-ZERO pilot, and he now wins the hearts of many female fans on the F-ZERO scene. Any merchandise bearing Jack's face is an instant sellout. While most people speak only of his good looks and popularity, his racing skills are also worthy of comment. According to F-Zero X, Levin was chosen to be a racer because his sister had sent in his school photograph into the search contest. Jack is afraid of his mom since she is impervious to his charms. According to F-Zero GX, he went in for more fame than what he had as a pop star.
Machine Information: The Astro Robin was manufactured by Team Lightning Bolt, an extremely famous team that makes up part of F-Zero's old guard. Its high-tech lightweight design was implemented to match its pilot's "lightning" method of racing, and it has extremely advanced control components. In order to satisfy Jack Levin's huge female fan base, the team installed cameras throughout the cockpit that broadcasts Jack from all different angles during the races.
Body: B
Boost: D
Grip: A
Weight: 1,050 Kg.
Vehicle Designer: Team Lightning Bolt
[edit] Bio Rex

- Age: 9
- Sex: M
- Machine Number: 15
Title: A Prehistoric Predator Reborn
Biography: Utilizing advanced biotechnologies, Bio Rex was created from a fossilized dinosaur egg. Genetic design allowed for the development of higher brain functions equivalent to that of a human, but as a carnivorous predator, he is still as aggressive as Pico. He first entered the Grand Prix to prove his superiority over humans, this time around he has entered to satisfy his ravenous appetite for mammoth ribs. However, he says everyone he meets is food and also has a thing for beer. Bio Rex races on his own rather than being supported by the Keerlon Corporation.
Machine Information: Big Fang was designed by the laboratory-scientist group that brought Bio Rex to life. They formed a racing team and then designed and manufactured Big Fang to accommodate Bio Rex's dinosaur-like body. The machine was designed with total emphasis on control to compensate for the violent nature and fierce reflexes of its pilot. The Big Fang's ease of control may well be the very point that makes it a top-class F-Zero machine.
Body: B
Boost: D
Grip: A
Weight: 1,520 Kg.
Vehicle Designer: Dinosaur Racing Team
[edit] Sterling "The Skull" LaVaughn

- Sex: M
- Age: 241
- Machine Number: 16
Title: A Legend Raised from the Grave
Biography: The Skull's real name is Sterling LaVaughn (Arbin Gordon in the Japanese version of F-Zero). The Skull was once the greatest driver in the F-MAX Grand Prix, a competition that predates the coming of F-ZERO by some 200 years. Thanks to the inexplicable powers of science and black magic, he has returned to this world to compete once again. He races in the Underworld in his spare time. With his remarkable technique and decision-making powers, he now has a chance to extend his legacy into a new generation.
Machine Information: The Sonic Phantom machine was developed by Abinus, an entertainment planning committee known for combining science and black magic. This lightweight machine is the first in F-Zero history to boast compact aura engines operating on reactive energy from living organisms. Not only that, but it also had the best boost performance available. There is a terrible rumor going around that The Skull uses black magic to suck the energy needed to fuel this machine from race spectators.
- The Sonic Phantom has no steering-wheel in F-Zero GX.
- The vehicle's statistics spell out CAD, a play on the fact that The Skull is a CADaver.
Body: C
Boost: A
Grip: D
Weight: 1010kg
Vehicle Designer: Abinus Company
[edit] Antonio Guster

- Sex: M
- Age: 36
- Machine Number: 17
Title: A Solo Bandit Seeking Revenge
Biography: Antonio Guster, just like Captain Falcon and Samurai Goroh, is a former Internova Police Officer. Under his helmet Guster actually hides a mohawk hairdo. Antonio was the right-hand man of Samurai Goroh, but Goroh betrayed and abandoned him into the hands of the Galactic Space Allies (or the Takoraian Security Forces in F-Zero X). After his release, he became a solo bandit, and now his only purpose in life is to have his revenge on Goroh, ideally in front of millions of fans on the F-ZERO circuit.
Machine Information: The Green Panther houses two made-to-spec RS engines with advanced power capacities that were redesigned especially for racing. The machine was pilfered from an intergalactic band of bandits and originally was used only as Samurai Goroh's spare machine. It is an extremely valuable machine, but its one drawback is that is requires an advanced degree of technical control from its pilot.
Body: A
Boost: B
Grip: D
Weight: 2060kg
Vehicle Designer: Toraemon Echigoya
[edit] Christopher "Beastman" Annex

- Sex: M
- Age: 30
- Machine Number: 18
Title: A Beast Hunter Dressed as a Dinosaur
Biography: Beastman's real name is Christopher Annex. He became a beast hunter after a nasty encounter with a gigantic crocodile on the planet White —after surviving the ordeal, he decided that he wanted to protect people from such dangerous creatures. He is actually quite shy, and in order to keep his bashful nature from being discovered he adorned himself in the imposing outfit of a dinosaur. Before long, due to his heroic deeds and growing popularity, he became known as the Beastman. Having dealt with all the beasts on his own planet, he entered the F-ZERO GX Grand Prix for promotional reasons. There, he met Bio Rex for the first time, and knowing the creature was competing, he made a vow to protect the other pilots and crowd from such a dangerous beast.
Machine Information: While Beastman was exterminating alien beasts in the jungle, he stumbled across the wreckage of a fighter craft that had been gunned down a long time ago during an interplanetary war. Beastman took the wreck to Dr. Clash and had him economically remodel it into an F-Zero machine. Unlike Clash's machine, which has extremely weak grip capabilities, the Hyper Speeder was redesigned with top-class grip performance in mind. The front part of his ship has some resembelence to a MiG-29 Aircraft.
Body: C
Boost: C
Grip: A
Weight: 1460kg
Vehicle Designer: Doctor Clash
[edit] Leon

- Sex: M
- Age: 16
- Machine Number: 19
Title: A Beast Pilot Burned by the Flames of War
Biography: Leon is from the war-torn planet of Zou (Kericho in F-Zero X), where he lost both of his parents during the big war 12 years ago. As the planet suffered through the aftereffects of the war, it was decided that one F-ZERO machine should be sent to the Grand Prix with Leon as its pilot; a symbol of hope for the ailing planet. He was adopted by Fable (the Arrows in F-Zero X) and heads to an orphanage in his spare time. Leon has a great track record in the F-ZERO races as a result of his well-balanced abilities, second to F-Zero, soccer is Leon's greatest passion. However, Leon desperately wishes to become a F-Zero champion in order to save the children of Zou from poverty. He has some resemblance to the Star Fox Character Wolf O'Donnell, aside from his body. Like Wolf, Leon has one bad eye. He also shares his name with Leon Powalski, another member of Star Wolf. One big difference though is that Leon is part of an alien race and any resemblance with an Anthropomorphic wolf/cat is merely coincidental.
Machine Information: Fable, the creature that designed the Space Angler, was once part of the forces that were attacking Leon's home planet of Zou. Furious over their merciless assault tactics, he betrayed those forces and became the hero that helped lead the planet Zou to victory. In order to help soften the effects of the poverty that continues even after the war's end, Fable engineered an F-Zero machine and commissioned Leon to race it. This machine boasts grip similar to that of a sleek feline digging its claws into the earth as it effortlessly accelerates.
Body: C
Boost: C
Grip: A
Weight: 910 Kg.
Vehicle Designer: Fable Animal
[edit] Super Arrow

- Sex: M
- Age: 35
- Machine Number: 20
Title: The Relentless Fighter for Justice
Biography: Super Arrow is a superhero who defends peace on Earth with his loyal bird, Speed Bird, given to him by one of his top sponsors, Lazlo Falconi (a Star Fox reference). According to F-Zero X, Super Arrow was the founder of the F-Zero Academy after the Horrific Grand Finale. He entered that last F-ZERO race to chase his old enemy, Zoda. At that time, Super Arrow had never even driven before, so he had to hurriedly register for an F-ZERO license just so that he could enter the race. Even so, he managed to race competitively by utilizing his superpowers. Zoda has entered the race again, and Super Arrow must do all he can to stop him and end his reign of terror. He is known for his relentlessly unforgiving attitude toward criminals, but when it comes to his wife, Mrs. Arrow, who he admits is faster at racing, he’s as docile as a puppy. *Super Arrow is a parody of both Superman from DC and Captain America from Marvel Comics.
Machine Information: The King Meteor is a sleek vehicle that focuses more on speed and maneuvering then protection. Its B ranked boost and maneuvering are countered by its poor body rank and lack of weight, making it offensively and defensively inferior to most vehicles.
Body: E
Boost: B
Grip: B
Weight: 860 Kg.
Vehicle Designer: Professor Hollow
The King Meteor is almost identical to the Queen Meteor.
[edit] Mrs. Monique L’Amoreaux Arrow

- Sex: F
- Age: 27
- Machine Number: 21
Title: The Elegant Mrs. Superhero
Biography: Mrs. Monique L’Amoreaux Arrow was born into a very rich family. She adopted Leon, according to F-Zero X, and is able to speak 40 different languages, including Takoran, Octoman’s native tongue. Mrs. Arrow strives to defend her husband, Super Arrow, in and out of the home. She entered the last F-ZERO race to assist her husband, who had no previous experience as a pilot. An F-ZERO circuit model before marriage, she was the first former circuit model to compete as a pilot.
Machine Information: Mrs.Arrow's Queen Meteor is the nearly the same vehicle to King Meteor. The only difference is that it has a different type of engine making it weigh more. This gives it more of an issue when turning but has been traded off with better offensive power.

[edit] Gomar & Shioh

- Sex: M & M
- Age: 102 (rumored to be at least 9000 years old)
- Machine Number: 22
Title: Outer Space Bosom Buddies
Biography: On the planet Huckmine, the Furikake people have an odd custom—they pair up with a partner as soon as they’re born and do everything together. Similarly to George and Lennie from Of Mice and Men, the intelligent Gomar is very short and envies the stature of Shioh, while Shioh is a tall creature who admires Gomar greatly and depends entirely on his decision-making. This peculiar pair works together, deftly manipulating their F-ZERO machine built for two. However, these two partners —who have been together as long as they can remember— will both marry next year, thereby undergoing a partner change. This event has given rise to many rumors about this F-ZERO Grand Prix being their last together.
F-Zero rules stipulate that each machine can be driven by only one pilot, but Gomar and Shioh were accepted because they (in F-Zero X) shared the exact same thoughts. This was apparently retconned, as they are now purported to have separate personalities, and Dai San Gen also compete even though each member of that team handles a different task.
- Furikake, the race of Gomar and Shioh, is actually a Japanese condiment, sprinkled on rice.

[edit] Silver Neelsen

- Sex: M
- Age: 98
- Machine Number: 23
Title: A Polished Pilot 'Til the Day He Dies
People call Neelsen "Ironman Silver", however he is known as the “ultimate underdog” to the other racers. Despite holding the record for the most F-ZERO races entered by a single pilot, he has yet to win a Grand Prix. He turns 99 next year and is debating retirement, but he also considers it a good possibility that he’ll continue his race career even after he turns 100. Furthermore, a movie of Silver Neelsen's life is in the makings. Silver still loves the old-school machines (which is refelcted in the Night Thunder's design), and he’s become quite crotchety in his old age—he often criticizes the newfangled machines that other pilots are racing.

[edit] Michael Chain

- Sex: M
- Age: 39
- Machine Number: 24
Title: Head of the Space Racers Clan
Biography: Michael Chain is the leader of the Bloody Chain gang, one of the most notorious gangs from the south end of Angelopolis on the planet Mandrill 4. Michael likes classical, metal music and loves to box. He is ruling 3 planets as the leader of the Bloody Chain whose membership up until a few years ago exceeded 10,000 members. He enters the F-ZERO to showcase his skills and to represent the entire crew, but his efforts are falling short and members have begun to leave the organization. The Bloody Chain member numbers have now fallen well below 10,000, and it’s rumored that the crew could be totally dissolved in the next several years.
- Michael Chain and his gang are considered as parodies of real-life Los Angeles-based street gangsters. Angelopolis (the name of the city whom his gang hails from) is an obvious reference to the city of Los Angeles. The location marking of his gang's turf is also a reference to real-life hostile district locations of Los Angeles.

Title: Captain Falcon's Evil Clone
Biography: Although listed in the race literature as 37 years old, Blood Falcon is actually a clone created from Captain Falcon's DNA, which was stolen while he was hospitalized after the huge accident four years ago. With that in mind, Blood Falcon is technically only four years old and was created by Black Shadow. He races in the Underworld in his spare time and is capable of everything Captain Falcon can do, but Blood Falcon has been strictly taught to obey all commands of his evil master, Black Shadow.
Machine Information: At first, Blood Falcon's machine, the Blood Hawk (Hell Hawk in the Japanese version of F-Zero X; Blood Hawk in both versions of F-Zero GX), was to be designed with the capabilities identical to those of the Blue Falcon. However, the designers knew they wouldn't be able to conquer their old rival Captain Falcon with an identical machine, so they increased the Blood Hawk's boost power. In doing so, they were forced to forego some grip power. The main engine was designed by the engineers in the secret lab of the BS group, and the secondary engine is one they looted from the Blue Falcon at the time of the great accident four years ago.

He is an absolutely gigantic fan of F-ZERO and has dreamed of entering the circuit himself since he was small. Draq has been practicing his racing skills through the video game. Roughly one year ago, Draq and Roger came across two F-ZERO machines tagged with an unknown recipient and no return address. Draq quickly convinced Roger to let them enter the machines in the last Grand Prix, telling him that they would surely be recognized and the rightful owners would come forward to claim them. No one claimed the machines, however, and the two partners have decided to try again. Draq hopes to win a Grand Prix himself before the owners come to claim the machines - then he could use the prize money to buy a craft of his own.

- Machine Number: 29
Title: The Supreme F-Zero Machinist
Biography: Dr. Theodore Clash (who refers to himself as a “supertonic geekoid”), is an engineer who holds 17 patents on F-Zero technology and had always dreamed of becoming an F-Zero pilot. Because of his 'heftiness', he constructed a machine that assists him in piloting his vehicle as well as other physical work. Dr. Clash has designed and built 8 machines currently in the F-Zero Grand Prix as well as Ryu Suzaku's (Rick Wheeler's) Dragon Bird and he also rebuilt Beastman's machine. After many years of research and development, finally constructed his own. Dr. Clash, now with a racing machine, can finally fulfill his dream of becoming an F-Zero pilot.
Machine Information: The Crazy Bear is a rather heavy machine. It has an 'E' rated grip, which is the worst rating a machine can have but it makes up for it with an excellent booster (rated 'B') and top notch body (rated 'A'). The Crazy Bear has a tough time staying with the leaders on tracks with lots of sharp turns; however, tracks that have long straightaways are where the Crazy Bear's full potential is recognized.

[edit] Black Shadow

- Sex: M
- Age: Unknown
- Machine Number: 30
Title: The Grand Master of Terror
Biography: Black Shadow is a cold-blooded king of evil feared by all and creator of Blood Falcon, who's to kill Captain Falcon. He first appeared in F-Zero X, in which he entered the F-Zero X Grand Prix to "destroy Captain Falcon in front of billions of viewers". However, Captain Falcon has seen much success capturing his foot soldiers, including Jay Gonso Snaky, who was responsible for reincarnating Black Shadow.
In F-Zero GX, Black Shadow lost to Captain Falcon in the Grand Prix. It was then revealed that Black Shadow was working for Deathborn, a superior villain who was part of the dark world.
Machine Information: Black Shadow races in the Black Bull and does so in the Underworld in his spare time. It is an F-Zero machine designed in the secret laboratories of the BS Group, an evil organization commanded by Black Shadow himself. The vehicle is very heavy but has advanced functionality, it has a rating of "A" for both Body and Grip, the only vehicle in F-Zero X to boast an "A" in two attributes. It ranks an "E" (the lowest rating possible) for Boost, though. However, with a most exploited technique in the game called snaking, where the player sets the vehicle to full acceleration taps R and right, and L and left, the vehicle can double, triple, even quadruple the speed to the max. The heavy weight and lack of boost power makes the vehicle intended for adept players who can negotiate turns at high speed, and it's an ideal choice for knocking out the competition in races and death matches alike. These same characteristics also make the Black Bull perfect for inexperienced drivers.
