Charles Everett Johnson (born January 3, 1972 in San Bernardino, California) is an American former professional football player who was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1st round (17th overall) of the 1994 NFL Draft. A 6'0", 202-lb. wide receiver from the University of Colorado, Johnson played in nine NFL seasons from 1994-2002 for the Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots, and Buffalo Bills.
In the 1990 season, the University of Colorado Buffaloes simultaneously had two players named "Charles Johnson". One was Charles Everett Johnson, the wide receiver, and the other was Charles S. Johnson, the backup quarterback behind Darian Hagan.
The backup quarterback (Charles S. Johnson, not Charles Everett Johnson) ran for the winning touchdown on fifth down, the last play of the "fifth down" game at Missouri in 1990, and was later named MVP of the Orange Bowl game on January 1, 1991.
